Inside Elfworks
Meet the Elves
When you ask a question in Elfworks, it isn’t answered by a single AI model. Instead, the platform deploys four of the world’s most advanced AI models simultaneously, operating like skilled elves in a digital workshop, each working on a different part of the problem

Each model analyses the problem, challenges assumptions, and contributes its reasoning. Their findings are then tested against Australian tax legislation, case law, and ATO guidance before a final answer is produced.

The result is research that is deeper, more reliable, and far less prone to the errors that occur when relying on a single model.
Data Protection
When Elfworks deploys its four AI models to answer a question, client information is at the centre of that process — trust deeds, entity structures, financial details, individual names. The kind of information your clients trust you to keep safe. That is why Elfworks protects it before the elves even get to work.

As AI becomes part of everyday accounting workflows, one question matters more than any other: what actually happens to your client's information when you click submit?
Most AI tax platforms process data through US-based language models. Under the United States CLOUD Act, that data can be compelled by US authorities at any time, without your knowledge or your client's. The Tax Practitioners Board has been clear: this constitutes offshore handling of client information, and informed client consent is required before it happens.
Elfworks was built differently. Your client data never leaves Australia.
Sensitive client data is systematically redacted and securely re-populated, Even if data were compelled under foreign law, there is nothing identifiable to hand over.
We use Australian-hosted, sovereign AI models. They do not store your data, do not train on your data, and are not obligated to provide data to any foreign government.
For tasks requiring the deepest knowledge base, we use enterprise-grade subscriptions to the world's leading AI models — but only after client data has been anonymised.
